OUR SERVICES

Do you handle out-of-state moves?

Yes, we are fully licensed and insured to operate throughout the entire United States.

What is the difference between a local and long distance move?

Local moves are typically completed within one day. Long distance moves may take multiple days.

Pricing for local moves is generally based on the number of hours required, while pricing for long distance moves is based on the weight of the shipment. Proper packing and labeling are especially important for long distance moves.

Do you offer full service moving?

Yes! Our moves can include full packing and unpacking.

Can my move have multiple stops?

Multiple stops are not a problem. However, we do ask that you provided us with addresses ahead of time so that we can be as prepared as possible.

Can I hire you just to load or unload?

Yes, we offer labor only services for loading, unloading, rearranging furniture within a home, and any other moving needs that don’t require a truck.

PAYMENT AND INSURANCE

What forms of payment are accepted/when is payment due?

We accept Check, Cash, and Credit Card. There is a 3% convenience fee with credit card transactions. Payment is due in full upon completion of your move.

Why is it important to hire licensed and insured movers?

In the state of North Carolina it is required that moving companies are licensed and insured. Hiring qualified provides protection for the customer. A license demonstrates that the moving company has met the requirements set by the local and federal government and has permission to operate as a business.

If the moving company is not licensed or insured, the customer may have no recourse if something goes wrong during the move. In addition, hiring licensed and insured movers gives you peace of mind and assurance that your belongings are being handled by professionals who are held to an official standard.

Are you licensed and insured?

Yes. We are fully licensed and insured, and members of the North Carolina Movers Association.

MOVING DETAILS

What should I expect on move day?

1. Our crew generally gets under way at 8:15AM. Arrival times will vary depending on the distance between our office and your residence.

2. Once the crew is on site, they will position the truck for loading and bring in materials to prepare your items for transport. The crew leader will go over the bill of lading paperwork with you and explain the different levels of valuation. Our trained movers are skilled at packing and handling delicate items such as TVs, artwork, glass, and lamps. If you require assistance with packing, please let our office know in advance so that we can bring the proper materials.

3. After the preparatory work is completed, the movers will begin loading the truck. Before leaving the first location, the crew leader will conduct a final walkthrough to ensure that no items have been left behind.

4. At the new home, the crew will reassemble and place your furniture. During the unload It is very important to have a designated person near the truck to direct the crew on furniture placement, this helps the unload move along seamlessly.

5. Once all the items have been unloaded, the crew leader will confirm the placement of your furniture and ensure that the truck has been emptied.

6. The crew leader will then finalize the bill of lading with your signature and collect payment for the move.

What items can't you move?

Items we are not allowed to move include: Gasoline, propane, aerosols, live plant matter or fertilizers, hazardous/toxic chemicals. Lawn mowers, generators etc can be moved as long as their fuel has been removed prior to move day.

Do I need to take clothes out of my dressers?

No, clothing and non-breakable items can stay inside of the furniture. If you have fragile items stored in your furniture, we ask that you remove them. Many times during a move your pieces won’t always remain upright depending on how we need to maneuver them through the home, i.e tight turns, stair cases, closets.

Can you disassemble/re-assemble my furniture for me?

Yes. We have tool kits on our trucks that can handle most tasks. If you have an unusual or large item (like a home gym or swing set) please let us know so we can be sure to have any needed additional tools with us.

Can you take items to the dump?

Yes, we have a large dump trailer that can accommodate most items.

What items can’t go to the dump?

There are some items that the dump will not accept. Appliances, Pallets, Scrap tires, Lead-acid batteries, Used Oil, Paint, and Fluorescent lights.
